AA2010-1  Wigging Your Doll with Tibetan Wool

• Cut a paper towel approximately 5 ½” by 5 ½”
• Place one edge of the paper towel across the top of the front hairline
• Pin on the sides where the ears would be
• At this point the paper towel will be sticking out in the back

Do a dart on each side of the head and pin in place. Cut dart as shown.

Trim the back panel close to the nape of the head

Now you have your pattern to cut out your wig from the Tibetan skin.

Do not cut on the wool side; turn it over to the skin side and using a sharp scissor cut with small snips being careful not to cut into the hair itself. Shake out wig for loose wool

• Turn skin side up and turn the top long edge ¼” in; this is the hairline.         Add a small bead of glue to secure the    edge. Let dry.
• Place wig on the head to double-check the measurements.  Do this            before gluing the wig down to eliminate bulk.
• Glue the head of your doll using tacky glue. Place the long panel down       first than proceed to the short panel.
• Once everything is in place.  Hold the head in your hand to form the wig.    Let dry than you are ready to give your doll a new hair do.
