Welcome to Fish With Faces. My name is Maria Saracino and as a full time professional artist I look for new ideas and concepts that can be interpreted in polymer clay.
Fish With Faces was inspired by the work of Mexican artist, Sergio Bustamante. Although he has been sculpting human faces on animals for years, this concept has now become a trend in the art world.
The official term is “Anthropomorphism”. This means giving human traits or attributes to animals, inanimate objects or other non-human things.

In this class, you will learn how to do a quick facial sculpt and how to build the armature and coat the fish body with textured polymer as well as how to use glass, brass and wood to embellish and add value to your sculpture.

This is particularly useful to anyone who is interested in selling their work.
I hope you enjoy this class and I look forward to seeing your amazing creations.
