Barbara Schoenoff received a Master of Fine Arts from Northwestern University in Costume Design. She has taught and/or designed at universities in the East and Midwest as well as Interlochen Arts Camp.
She has designed well over 100 plays including: A CHRISTMAS CAROL, A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, and OLIVER. While she has been seriously designing and teaching dolls for 12 years, she actually started making dolls when she was very young, which was made harder by reason that dinosaurs were still walking.
She has won the Hoffman challenge, the Sulky Challenge and the Fiber Arts Connection Challenge “Myths and Legends”. She has taught at WOW, MM&M, FAC, AADA and EDAC as well as in stores and for doll clubs. She lives in Champaign, Illinois
